STAMPLESS COVERS COLLECTION A mostly 1800 to 1840 assembly of stampless covers or cover fronts, with the vast majority of these being from identified PROMINENT SENDERS e.g. "Coke of Leicester", Charles Pierpoint Viscount Newark, Baron Fitzroy, Sir Richard Sutton MP, Horatio Walpole, Earl Grey, Earl of Orford, and many more. There is a large range of postal markings present including "MISSSENT/TO YORK", "KNUTS/FORD", "Houghton le Spring", Gainford Penny Post", "FOOTSCRAY", "Alnmouth/Penny Post", "T.P. Twickenham", "T.P. Rate", "HOLKHAM", "OLLERTON", "SOUTHWELL", AYLESHAM" etc, as well as many with circular "Crown/FREE" in red. The earliest dates from 1779 with a few other late 18th century plus a few later into the second half of the 19th century, with or without stamps, to about the 1890's. An interesting collection.
